The Main Hall of SMAP Kajang today hosted a Two-in-One wedding reception for Teacher Umi Nafisah’s two daughters.

While we were informed that the two grooms are ex-SMAP Kajang students…. we wonder if they have registered their names in our Alumni?

SMAP Kajang.Net wishes Selamat Pengantin Baru to Shahirul Halim/Salina and Abdul Hadi/Wan Syaidatul Aqma and congratulation to the brides’s proud parents Teacher Umi Nafisah and her husband Dr Abd Rahman.

We have received relatively good responses from ex-students for the SMAPK Alumni so far. We hope to receive many more registrations from those who have not responsed to our call. If you are an ex-student of SMAP Kajang, please help by letting your friends know about SMAP Kajang Alumni and encourage them to register through SMAPKajang.Net.

We are compiling the names of the alumni members and when we receive considerable number of registrations, we would like to call for an initial meeting to plan for future activities for the alumni.

One of the many things we have in mind is how we could tap and leverage on the resources of our alumni members to help Form 3 and Form 5 students in preparing for their major exam this year. We are hopeful that with the much needed assistance from the almuni members, we would help to reduce the pressures on the teachers a bit and share the responsibility to make SMAP Kajang one of the top schools in the country, this year, next year and every year. Together…. we can!

MALACCA: A six-point plan to champion the teaching profession and encourage more teachers to take part in the graduate scheme has been announced by the Prime Minister.

Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said Grade DGA 29 non-graduates teachers undergoing the graduate scheme under Grade DG 41 would be considered for “time-based” promotion to Grade DG 44.

Under the scheme, he said three years of teaching experience as a DGA 29 teacher would be equivalent to one year’s experience as a DG 41 teacher.

“The Government has also approved the proposal that Grade DG 41 teachers who are not from the graduate scheme and holding the post of headmaster would be considered for promotion to Grade DG 44 after three years of service as a headmaster under Grade DG 41,” he added.
